Hexham Bluegrass Festival

We eagerly anticipate the return of the Hexham Bluegrass Festival this year! Building on the success of last year’s event, the festival is returning with a fantastic lineup of talented regional professional and amateur musicians and bands. Mark your calendars for July 26th – 28th, 2024. It takes place at the Bandstand on the Sele, right next to the Abbey. Together, guests will have the opportunity to celebrate the unique blend of bluegrass music, a genre influenced by Irish, Scottish, and English traditions, in the beautiful surroundings of Hexham. As well as this, guests will have the opportunity to take part in workshops, dancing, sessions and events across Hexham. Like last year, the festival is mainly free to attend, with all performances on Saturday and Sunday in the Sele Park being free for everyone, and no tickets required. Some fringe events not directly organised by the Festival committee may have a charge and more information about these will be provided closer to the time, so keep an eye out for any updates. There will be a small fee for the Hoe Down, and tickets will be limited.
Fundraising efforts are underway to ensure that this festival can continue to be hosted in the future. Bluegrass welcome any donations. If you’d like to contribute, please visit theirfundraising page here, donation page.
